You're absolutely spot on, when I shared the true record of the tout Troy West on his FB page he got really angry and accused me of not being signed up for seasons hence I hadn't turned a profit! I'd been with him a year and every time I signed up to his "premium service" he would end up losing me money. He had hot streaks but more cold streaks and used hype during the hot streaks to sign more people up.
You show go on SBR and follow a few of these guys and keep track of their records for a month and see what happens. You don't have to mention names, but use tout A B C etc… and show their results.

If you play 1000 bets that each have a 10% edge, and you bet 10% of your bankroll on each net, then your risk of ruin is 13%. If you have a 20% edge, and bet 10%, then your risk of ruin is only 6.5%
