As the 2022 NFL Draft inches closer, Connor Hughes and Tim McMaster discuss their first-round predictions for the Jets. They talk about Jameson Williams, Kayvon Thibodeaux , Garrett Wilson and more before diving into the possibility of trading for Deebo Samuel. They wrap by discussing Dane Brugler’s complete 7-round mock draft.

I don’t see them drafting OL first round for three years straight.
Also CJ Moseley was WORST LB in the league when targeted in the pass. Salah's D requires LBs that can cover. CJ was liability. Jets should draft top ILB and try to trade CJ at deadline.
Furthermore CJ was rated one of worst LBs by PFF something like in 70s and he was the for Jets. This is a disgrace that this so called expert doesn't know anything about.
What a moron this guy is. We had worst run D and desperately need quality OLB and ILB (Arnold Abiketie) and (Quay Walker or Channing Tindall or Chad Muma).
According to this guy if you have good DT you don't need LBs it seems. What a loser.
Also who downgrades a pick for not being able to trade recklessly? Who says Muma at 69 is D because this year he is not needed, meanwhile it become immediate need next year. Why not let this guys play and learn and be ready to take over next year. This is what good teams do always. Why are we listening to this fool?
JetsFuture is a 23yo troll that harasses Jake Asman. Jeez, kids in his mom’s basement but actually EVERYWHERE!
Giving any grade based on the off season does a disservice to the pick…should be solely based on the Jets needs at the time of the pick
Connor has gone full blown Jets neurosis on this podcast, as last year’s promising OLine collapses this season, and I have to admit, I’m so proud of our boy for going All In! Sundays are officially ruined. Welcome!
4: KT or Jermaine Johnson
10: Wilson, Jameson, and/or London
And take a safety at 35 or 38
Consider my mock draft.
4-OT ikwonu
10-WR garret Wilson or Jameson Williams
35- WR Christian Watson or WR Alec Pierce
38- RB breece hall or kenneth walkerIII
They can do whatever from here. I got my playmakers
Spot on Connor!
You may do this for a living, but we still grade you.
I give Connor a hard time on YT etc, but he is absolutely the best content and best reporter dealing with the New York Jets by far. Keep up the great work Conner and crew you guys are doing great and it's appreciated
I understand the system doesn't NEED a lock down corner, but if we go DE at #4 and Sauce is available at #10, I'm running to the podium. Bryce Hall? Come on, he's a 2 or 3 at best. Sauce is the one of the safest picks and just look at the WR's in the AFC East now. To take a WR at #10 over a lockdown corner is silly, when you have two high second rounders to get a play making receiver.
The jets should trade Corey Davis, there's a reason the titans didn't resign. He's not even a real #2 receiver
Wish list
4. Sauce Gardner
10. Jermaine Johnson
What if its hutch, kt and icky for first three picks?
I don’t think it’s a slam dunk that Walker is going to go 1 or 2. Ekwanu could very well go #1 & KT could go #3.
When there's huge needs at DE, WR, DT, why on earth would you draft a tackle
Agree with completely on wide receivers. These teams are not going to give the Jets their best players for nothing. The Jets to get their #1 receiver will have to draft their own wide receiver. End of story.
I love your blog! #4 will be best Edge Rusher. #10 will be best WR. WR is premium now no WR is worth 20,000,000 dollars, draft 2 starting at #10.
Thank you for giving an accurate portrayal of what happened to Mangini. Many fans have no clue how well coached that team was and how he manufactured a few wins his rookie year (hence…Man-genious). Rex benefitted a great deal from Manginis' core players (as well as bringing in some great pieces from Baltimore).
