First time playing, crazy that people actually had upgraded their weapons when fighting godrick 😭

  2. @jordazmo19

Am i trippin or is that music at the beginning from Chrono Trigger??

  3. @JestemPerdian

There are no souls as currency, there are runes. This should be important for the loremaster 😉

  4. @mentalwig420

Dude I'm loving the chrono trigger music

Hahaha I'm with you my man i don't like to over level but like you I have this incurable desire to explore every nook and cranny there is to the game to such a degree that over-leveling happens but it's alright because NG+ exists all the way up to NG+8

Your throwing knife tip actually slaps. I have accidentally killed three shard bearers using just Curved GS lights and bone darts. There’s nothing quite like killing Morgott because you stance broke him with a single bone dart.

  7. @neillaw

I don't have your first instinct with over levelling, I have the opposite instinct!

Step 1: Get Whetstone Knife at Gatefront Ruins
Step 2: Clear out Fort Haight and get Bloody Slash in Fort Haight
Step 3: Equip Bloody Slash, rush Greyoll in Dragonbarrow
    Step 4:???
Step 5: Get 20+ levels (more if you use the Gold-Pickled Fowl's foot right before Greyoll dies)

Worrying about over-leveling, worrying about preserving your experience all really boils down to worrying in general. There’s the problem right there…How can you have fun if you are this consumed by worry? my suggestion would be learn how to have fun and not worry so much!

a point about exploring everything before heading to the next location. I think a lot of people like to play this way, but. There is a terrible quest system in Elden Ring, where you have to go "who knows where" on the map and meet a person you just talked to in another place. But if you've already looted that dungeon then you have no idea the person will be there and you have no need to go there at all, unless another player tells you your target is there. That's why I don't understand why this game is 10/10 for some people. It has so many poor quest making decisions. Sometimes if you do a quest and then do something bad for progression of that quest somewhere else, the person giving you that quest will just disappear and leave his full gear and a bell bearing on the ground, which is really dumb. Like "sorry we didn't come up with a proper bad ending to this quest, so take this bell bearing and give it to the two old statues"

My problem is that I am ridiculously slow. So I am level 32 and played 50+ hours already but have not really got half way round the starter areas. Also I'm not the best player so I'm scared of losing my runes and that makes me go even slower because I keep stopping to spend them or level up. I'm just about to beat the Crucible Knight and feel over leveled although I probably couldn't beat him at level 10 anyway. I actually feel like it automatically adapts to each person. Higher-skilled players probably level faster and still feel challenged if they move on sooner deliberately

  12. @ElMofo9

This makes me feel better. Ive been worried about over leveling to the point where I started spending runes on stuff I didnt really need instead of leveling up

  13. @Inubry

    Love the golden sun music
    Love that game

  14. @marocel

I enjoy Elden Ring, but I found myself getting burnt out fairly quickly. I reached 50 hours and was ready to be done. Finding the right pace of exploration and legacy dungeons is tough. I want to play for hundreds of hours, but I might need breaks.

Thank you for the breakdown of the game design mechanics assisting players in not overleveling, i would love to see more sections like that in your videos, absolutely loved it.

I didn’t really care about “overleveling,” I just have a hardline no farming stance as I think it’s a waste of time. Haven’t managed to over level in a souls game without farming. I just explored wherever I could, I had actually gone through most of Caedin before I figured out how to upgrade my weapon lol. I was trying to fight the boss in redmane castle and was having trouble before I remembered storm veil. I couldn’t get past Margot at the beginning so I jus skipped, and when I came back with an upgraded gold halberd I won pretty handily and the whole area was a breeze. I feel I was pushed to do the game this way because all the bosses in early game (tree sentinel and Margot) were too powerful to beat at the start.
