For those confused about the comparison at 2:37 – I know that Ben Wallace and Peja won titles too, but I was only comparing the top 4 players of each class (as shown in the image). To make the point that 1984 was more top-heavy

can you really count the undrafted guys?

The question on the 1984 draft is who would be the fifth best player? You can pencil in Dream, Jordan, Barkley and Stockton. Then, for me, your choice for that fifth guy is one of the following four: Sam Perkins, Alvin Robertson, Otis Thorpe or Kevin Willis.

I was born in 1996 Time fly's ima 27 now I use to watch Kobe All the Time

I'd say 96 because if they were to compete against the 84 class, they would have more depth, more backup shooters, backup interior defender's, stretch bigs and just overall a more versatile class with better bench talent. The 84 class is goated mostly because of Mj, barkely and olajuwon, but they lack depth like the '96 class

    Jerome Kersey needs some love!!!

Both had guys who never made all star team but started and helped their teams.

1984 has a international what if: Oscar Shmidt, one of the best scorers of all-time.

'84 had nine championships. Kevin Willis won one in 2003. '96 had nine, too. Antoine Walker won one in 2006 and Peja won one in 2011.

The suits in the '03 pic have me dead…

It's simple: the 1984 class were filled with super-talented big names who dominated the 1990s while the 1996 class were filled with players who would change the game forever.

1996NBA Draft is the Most Complete Draft Ever.

Kobe was so nasty he had two signature shoes with two different shoes companies and two different jerseys numbers retired. RIP the Mamba

this video is funny you literally have to chop it down to top 4 to have a argument and even then 84 is only hanging around because of Mike..96 is clearly the best draft could of had Timmy too but he stayed in school another yr for his mom

Antoine Walker and Peja also are champions 96 up by 1

The class of 1996 was something special. Four of the top 5 draft picks became All Stars, and the one player who wasn't (Marcus Camby) was a great defensive player.

Add Oscar Shmidt and the starting five is unbeatable

Both drafts are great but I would have to go with the 1984 NBA draft. Especially with Hakeem and Jordan in the top 3 picks.
