Our poker tutorial is a great way to learn the card game loved by millions. /515009-How-to-Know-When-to-Bet-Poker-Tutorials

Hey, I’m Nicky Numbers, Professional Poker Player, and I’m going to help you learn when you can bet in Hold ‘Em.

The first thing to know about betting is that you can only bet post-flop. There is no bet pre-flop. The blinds are forced bets which means the first aggressive action to enter the pot is a raise.

Post-flop, on the other hand, there are no blinds or forced bets which means that the first aggressive action is a bet. The only time you can bet is on the flop, turn, or river and you’re first to act or your opponents have checked to you.

So that’s when you can bet, now we’re going to talk a little bit about why you should bet.

Reasons to bet include protecting your hand, betting for value because you believe that your hand is stronger than the hands that your opponents are likely to have, or betting as a bluff because you feel that your opponents are likely to fold their hand because it’s unlikely that they have a strong made Hold It.

So basically the times to bet are when you like your hand and you’re comfortable taking it to Showdown or you think it’s likely that your opponents do not like their hands and are going to have difficulty taking Showdown which means when you bet, there’s a good chance they’ll fold and you’ll win an uncontested pot.

First two example hands literally don't follow the first rule he gives.

  2. @MightyyDukk

The comment section always kills me. Like did you guys come to receive information or give it🤣🤣

  3. @lloydabovelife

you say only play those hands but I get one of those hands like one out of twenty hands.

If you take poker seriously, poker hand tracker software is a must. Even at NL5, it is worth to buy.

your content awesome!! Would love to see more like "neighborhood game" breakdowns, you've talked about how the monthly friend game often has different dynamics, where ppl play more hands, and don't fold as much. Need to conquer my monthly friendly game

Tip 3 is basically the same as one of the theorems an online pro came up with back in online pokers heyday i forget his name but he had a few theorems and one was "if you get called on the flop and raised on the turn, then top pair is no good."

How do I get the free cheat sheet?

  11. @Chiberia

Are you really saying not to play AK in the first rule (#7) – or did you just forget to leave out all the A# monsters?

  12. @matthewglover9188

what about AK? surely that is a top hand!

  13. @user-zh5zm7un4n

It's crazy how people online don't care what they have and still call with my Aces and I still lose. You can't beat luck.

  14. @TheBoogeymanStories

    4x big blind isn't to much? I thought that 2.5 or 3 it's enough

  15. @user-bx7ip6tf4p

Chips are like humans, the white ones are small and the black ones are big (i'm talking about their cocks)

  16. @MR2Davjohn

In several videos I've heard him say that you can't bet before the flop,
but if you watch the WSOP or WPT you will often see blinds and antes
placed, hole cards dealt and a round of betting pre-flop. There are many
how-to videos by pros that stress strategic bets pre-flop.
