On the Monday edition of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by Mike’s Beer Bar, host Christopher Carter welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo to ponder the team’s trade options ahead of the NFL draft. Does it make sense for GM Omar Khan to move up or down, based on the team’s needs on the offensive line and at receiver and cornerback? Or should they stay put? And what type of trade is more likely if one happens?

Our duo tackles those topics, then moves on to pre-draft visits. What should we make of names who’ve already stopped by like Malachi Corley and Darius Robinson? Should we expect other prospects Roman Wilson, JC Latham and Jackson Powers-Johnson to join those guys on the list of visitors soon? And which positions do the Steelers least need to invest draft capital?

Garrett Greenfield at tackle will be there in the later rounds. A name to think about.

  2. @kentsturgill5945

I agree you can get a quality tackle in 2nd , not a center. They may go wr in 2nd , tackle with 3rd, wr with second 3rd wouldn't hurt my feelings

  3. @Michael-gl3oo

Deke, I didn't like this draft. Where is our OT? You chose two WR. One I agree with. We could have picked up another S to replace Kazee.

  4. @stevekoelliker6764

I like the first round pick. I’d go for an OT in the second round. Receiver first 3rd round pick.
Those are the 3 most urgent positions of need in my humble opinion. I like a middle lb and corner at some point as well.

  5. @SketchyPeeks

Troy isn’t falling that far very hopeful though

  6. @zacward8806

We still need a tackle dan moore isn't the future so how about Mims in 1,frazier in the second, then a wr

  7. @jeffwagner4522

We should be drafting the best OLine man in the most needed spot 1st round forever.

  8. @ralphfurley123

I would pick a LT in the 1st! Any of these would be great: Alt, Fashanu, Fuaga, or Mims!

I would trade up in the 2nd round to secure Frazier, C! We might even get lucky and have JPJ, C drop and be available in the 2nd!

In the 3rd round, I would hope for a WR, maybe Malachi Corley! But if no WR worthy of a pick in the 3rd, then get a CB or DL worthy of this pick! But a WR is a priority here!

    Yikes 😬

  10. @KurtHartz-ny2og

Why no QB in your mock draft? Nobody is talking about Sam Hartman from Notre Dame an experimental pick ?

  11. @kpowers

Round 1 Center, Round 2 OT, Round 3 WR or CB, Round 3 WR or CB, rounds 4-6 all defense

  12. @dubbledizzle6057

    Troy Franklin only 177 lbs
Noway arthur smith sign off on that

  13. @dubbledizzle6057

    1. Amarius Mims OT Georgia
    2. Graham Barton C Duke
    3. Ricky Pearsall WR Kentucky
    3. Kris Abrams-Draine CB
    4. Tommy Eichenburg LB Ohio St.
    5. Justin Eboigbe DT Alabama
    6. Beau Brade S Maryland

  14. @jefftroan5810

You’re not old enough man: Ray Mansfield, John Kolb, Mike Webster.

  15. @Amb252

Welp, judging by the first pick Deke is already off to a bad start. Let's see how bad it gets from here a center with small arms. Nice pick, Deke I'm not trading up for a center when our secondary sucks 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

  16. @shawnmorreale9245

There going tackle in round 1 and you didn't even get a tackle at all

  17. @shawnmorreale9245

There unfortunately not drafting jpj in the first round

  18. @DeCurtaRican

The Steelers need to address that O-Line, which means spending three draft picks on the O-Line. Russ can make an average receiver look like an all-pro. They can find a Doug Baldwin, Tyler Lockett, or Jermaine Kearse as a UDFA..

  19. @danahettrick2378

I worry about mims didn't start alot of games. Size and athletic ok but ….get the center then the CT kid.

  20. @danahettrick2378

I want the Center …but if number one CB coming out is sitting there. …or two top two. Man that defense will be unbelievable. Also center will still be in there Frazier …maybe trade up in second we do have a couple thirds drop one. It's a risk. I like Washington Wr in later round.

  21. @jamesressler1103

    Golden instead of Dupree

  22. @buckrogers8672

Ray is the best analyst. He knows a lot, would be if he could be in draft day coverage

  23. @stephenschrader6087

That was Antawn Randle-El that threw the TD pass in the Super Bowl. Ward was on the receiving end of it.

  24. @marcderogatis8513

It depends how the top ten of round one goes , I think a trade down seems likely

  25. @richardsmith479

No thank you! Bud Dupree sucks!

  26. @bonumhomini176

    Trade 51 and 98 plus a 2nd and 4th 2025. Move up to Washington’s 40 & 67. Frazier at 40. Persall at 67

  27. @loveangel6350

What they should do is trade pickins for one or two then and then sign Boyd and then draft another good wide receiver in the first or second round and draft another one maybe in the sixth round and therefore you would be set that what they should do because Pickens will eventually be a problem

  28. @scorpy1364

no need to trade up in the 1st round, if powers-johnson is gone a top tackle will be available
2nd round move up if necessary and draft center van pran
love to see jones, mims, van pran on steelers OL, cant go wrong drafting from georgia

  29. @user-qf8ib8ue5i

Big Fan of moving on from the 20th pick to get more picks. I think Omar is really going to cook on draft day. Peace and Love to you all!

  30. @PatriotWatchUSA

Steelers to to trade back so they can start collecting picks so you can move up next year and get a franchise QB or you will be stuck in the mud forever

  31. @joshguerin7941

Obviously Tackle and Center are huge priorities! But WR Is terrible right now.Calvin Austin is and other WRS Are WR 4 At best

  32. @donaldnolan5272

Tackle and wide receiver both are pretty deep classes this year so I don't see the value in giving up draft picks to move up to get someone when they could move back, get more picks and still end up with starter capable tackles/wide receivers.
