Breaking down my favorite trait of each of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ seven 2023 draft picks.
My favorite thing about each of the Steelers’ free agents:

devaunte smith was never on the lions.
the nfl owners association said the detroit lions drafted the best
They definitely do not. Plenty of people are not happy but there's no way to know who "won" the draft for a couple years. The whole draft grading, who won who lost thing is just media nonsense to fill airspace and sell subs anyway and since you're part of that now it's kinda on you. I think the Seahawks had another pretty good draft, similar to last year, I'm not gonna grade every pick and give an overall grade or say they won though, that's stupid.
I don’t know any 49er fan happy with the draft
I think a lot of teams have moved out of the dark ages and most people's scouting has really improved. If a player doesn't work out it usually comes down to a bad set of circumstances or an injury.
As a Texans fan I like what we got but feel like we gave up to much to move to number 3. I would have rather stayed at 12 and taken the best available player.
Fair enough because I feel like the lions won the draft lol
The whole Russ thing with Seattle has shown us that we trust in Pete and John. Let them do their thing. Gohawks
Other than my Eagles 🦅; the Lions 🦁 did the most perfectly in the Draft
Im a lions fan and Honestly those picks surprised me but i trust our new gm
Lions won dont @ me
Are the Jets fans happy after Belichick gave the Steelers there tackle?
I think the steelers should've gone A+ because they did that good
Lions big time L
De’Andre, not Devonta.
😂😂 butt hurt McAfee
He hates that Dan Cambell didn't care to come on the show at the end of last season
LOL watch whitherspoon become better than sauce
every team thinks it's class is good until minicamps…
Will Levis being allegedly psycho is one of the funniest storylines in the nfl rn 😂😂
Darnell did fall Tone he is vastly overrated and has knee problems? He’s literally an extra blocker and that’s it.
Nick Herbig has great hands but he's always the first to initiate contact as well which impressive for having shorter arms.
Great showing Trice's poster! We all need one of those to keep focused.
Drafting Trice in the 7th round is a no doubt about it low risk high reward for the Steelers. If he's healthy in my opinion he will make the team and down the road future starter.
After every reception… TOOON!!!
Herbig's first clip reminds me a lot of a certain #92. Notice how he does James' patented arm lock to get leverage and then he takes a low angle to get around the tackle. Only solution is to chokehold him to the ground and eat the penalty.
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gonna be honest, I didn't see the arrows at 1st.
Alex, do you see enough potential in Washington's game to, sooner rather than later, displace Freiermuth as the starter?
All these guys have awesome mentors on the team they can look up to and learn from!!! Love all these picks just pray for health!!!
Washington blocks people so well that the tackles are left with nothing to do. Lol
Great breakdown Alex! They all look good to me. Lets see how they do at camp. I expect 2-3 starters out of the group by mid-season or sooner! Jones probably by 1st game. Maybe JPJ too! Thanks Alex!!
Didn't even watch it yet and I already know it's coming in hot🔥
Chase is only 6 ft.
I like to listen to you but unless somehow you identify the player you’re showcasing it’s very hard to follow!
I still find it hard to believe this draft turned out as well as it did. Like, it really couldn’t have been any better 😂
I had the first 3 draft picks in order in a mock I had with PFN mock draft simulator. Although, I had to use future picks to move up the draft board. It looked like this:
11th OT Broderick Jones
18th CB Joey Porter Jr.
49th DT Keeanu Benton
80th CB Julius Brents
After trading 2024 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and the 120th round picks I was left with these picks and the 7th round picks. Like everyone else I was surprised to see Darnell Washington fall to the 3rd round.
That's I don't like to go by what these mock draft big boards because they don't take account of the other variables that affects the actual draft, and we don't hear about some injury reports until the draft takes place place, during, or after. I also didn't imagine Joey Porter Jr. falling to the second round but not surprised about it. Omar Khan did a really good job of seeing the board fall his way by using an aggressive-passive approach in the first 2 rounds. His gamble paid off big. Taking the the tackle first proved to be the more valuable choice because he wouldn't have falling to the 2nd round like the cornerback. I came to the same conclusion when I made this mock draft but Joey Porter Jr. wouldn't have made it out of the 1st round so I traded up for him and Broderick Jones.
Nice focus on the draft picks strengths, Alex. Now the coaches will evaluate these players against acquired free agents and players on the roster. I can see 3 possibly 4 starters. Looking forward to training camp for the final 53.
I know Cory Trice is a 7th round draft pick, but I would be shocked if he doesn’t make the 53 roster team.
Great clips Alex as always…But while hasn't the Steelers Cut Gunner Olszewski yet? What do you think about Gunner Olszewski.
WE FINALLY GOT A TRUE NOSE TACKLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
