If Nylander, Marner, and Tavares aren't enough to help Matthews in Toronto, I don't know what will be.
Laine has found his game as a Point-Per-Game player in the past two seasons. And this year he was the best Point-Per-Game and Goals-Per-Game player in Columbus for the second year in a row. He was also surprisingly the most solid forward and that includes Gaudreau. That being said, he really really needs to keep healthy and get close to 82 games per season for a few seasons here.

Tkachuk willed his team to finals…. so why were they down 3-1 in the 1st rd?, l guess he' started playing better and was the reason why Fla came back against Boston…. and took out the Leafers and the Canes… Bobrovsky had nothing to do with… one player does not make a team
so in my books if Matthews or Marner want more cash then they're already making l'd say sign and deal them… they're already in cap hell.
you can't pay half of the cap to players that don't even make up two lines and expect the team to go somewhere in the regular season or the playoffs

Matthews won't get help when he wants to get paid more than anyone else in league history. He will demand a raise, and will eat up all of cap they need to sign depth.
Matthews is a complete 200 foot player. He's a generational talent. The only one in his draft class

because of how poorly he performs in the playoffs.
