College Football’s 2022 season is still a few months away, but with spring practice wrapped up Josh Pate put the call out on Late Kick Live Ep 268 for some of the boldest predictions Pate State has to offer. Could Alabama’s Will Anderson and Dallas Turner combine to produce sack totals like we’ve never seen before? What are the odds Mel Tucker and Michigan State go on another surprising run this season that sees the Spartans capture the Big Ten championship? With Texas A&M having not yet decided on a starting QB, is there a chance we see Jimbo Fisher flip flop his decision at any point this season? Ohio State has a loaded offense again this season. Are the Buckeyes so loaded we could see them sweet the award season banquets though? All that plus a look at what it will take for Missouri to win 8 games. College Football’s 2022 season is still a few months away, but with spring practice wrapped up Josh Pate put the call out on Late Kick Live Ep 266 for some of the boldest predictions Pate State has to offer. With Caleb Williams following Lincoln Riley to USC we’ve seen understandable hype placed in the Trojan camp this fall. What are the odds Caleb Williams lives up to and surpasses the individual expectations many have for him? With UGA coming off a national title, what if Florida surprised everyone and won the SEC East in Billy Napier’s first season? Will Nebraska falter on all their preseason expectations and actually end up even worse than Kansas? Can Texas Tech ascent to top-15 status? And what are odds we see both UGA and Michigan back in the College Football Playoff? Florida beats GA. Wins the east. Beats Bama in the sec championship
Michigan curb stomps little brother at the big house winning by 30+
man i love the best show in college football!
I'll take the will Anderson and Dallas turner bet 💯💯
Love it when you talk about Michigan State
I knew exactly who were talking about from the 90s Josh, The bookends Copeland and Curry RTR
Florida goes 9-3 and wins a ny6 first year with napier
Kendall Milton will win the Doak Walker award. Just go ahead and write his name in with a permanent marker
Bold prediction: the five Heisman finalists will be CJ Stroud and four SEC QBs – Young, Levis, Hooker, and Will Rogers.
Could you talk about what you think the locked rivalries would be if the SEC chooses the 3-6 schedule format
Hey Josh, you should talk more about the front runners on this show. 😳
Michigan State is going to suffer without Kenneth Walker III. With a raw O-line and a squishy secondary. (They’ll find out how to beat Michigan somehow)
Love this thumbnail Pate Face
Bold prediction: Despite getting a 10 year contract last year, James Franklin is in the hot seat conversation by the end of the year
My bold prediction is fsu will beat all 3 rivals this upcoming season. Miami Clemson and Florida.
We need more Alabama Dominance videos , RTR
Just one more reason I love college football. Listening to some delusional fan bases
The MAC champ will go to the CFP
FSU will win 10 games in 2022.
Washington ends the season as a top-25 team.
Georgia nor Michigan make the playoff Michigan loses 2 in the regular season and I don't see georgia going into Atlanta undefeated and Alabama isn't losing a game this year so I don't see either of them in the playoff and I'm a georgia fan they will be good their defense is gonna be good but georgia isn't gonna be able to do what they usually do this year the lb and db rooms are extremely thin georgia wins 12 games this year but that comes with a sugar bowl win against Baylor or maybe Oklahoma possibly even Oklahoma state
best way — Far East- Florida, Georgia, Vandy, SC… East- Alabama, Aub, Ten, KY… West- LSU, ARK, Ole Miss, Miss St…. Far West- OU, TX, TX A@M, Mizzu…. east plays only east/far east teams (7 games) vice versa.. the 8th game would be seeded as #1 west/far west plays #2 east/far east (semi final) and #1 east/far east vs # 2 west/far west– and so on … all higher seeds play at home finale…. next week the SEC championship….
Caleb was a fluke.
HUGE Red Raider here, and I can't see top 15 this season, maybe 2023, but 2022 is a tall order We will have 2 more wins this season, just due to better coaching, but top 15 probably needs 11 wins. We have a very hard schedule with Murray State & Kansas as the only 2 gimmies. I'd give this an 8 on the boldness scale, rather than 9 because most of our tough games are in Lubbock, with only at NCSU and at Okie State as tough road games. We'd need to win all the games in Lubbock, 3 of the 5 road games, plus the bowl game & may still need help to get into the top 15.
Top 15 for Texas Tech, this season!??! Besides Murray St & Kansas (who has beaten them & lost by 3 over the past 3 matchups) where are even just 2 more wins????? Seriously!
Let's go gators.
Kansas is sleeping in a boxcar down the road. Ouch! Go Gamecocks!!
Ohhhh I neededva good laugh so thank you to TECH fans! So your saying that the same program that even with Patrick Mahomes as a starter was a below 500% team (for you tech graduates that means TECH LOST MORE GAMES THAN THEY WON) & your last 3 games vs Kansas included 1 loss & a 3 point win that TECH would be a TOP 15 TEAM!??! 🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣🤣. And you wonder why no real Power 5 conference wanted TECH!!!!
BOLD PREDICTION & STATEMENT….TECH WILL NOT BE A TOP 15 TEAM IN THE NEXT 15 YEARS IF EVER!!!!
Army to go 12 and o and play inj the Cotton Bowl, against Texas A and M. Nebraska to go 10 and 2, UCLA to win nPac 12 and be in Playoffs, THE Ohio State U. goes THE 8 and 4 route. Does not go bowling out of shame. Penn State loses to Nebraska in not so big 10 champ game. USC plays Sooner style Deff and gets beat up and is 6 and 6. This will happen ONLY if Uncle Joe does not cancel the season due to Monkey Pox.
If USC and Notre Dame both have good years that will be a huuuge game at the end of the year
I predict there will be more bs political advertising. Keep politics out of sports. If not let's boycott
ND up in top ten agAin…..when are the media and soothsayers going to realize Norte Dame plays a lite schedule and gets slammed dunked when playing top 25 teams. Wake up dumbasses.
Still not one mention of Michigan state in 15 of these
Kansas has ZERO chance of winning 3 games. That schedule is murder. Nebraska has ZERO chance of winning 8 games this year. I have them going 6-7 and Kansas 2-10
Bold prediction: Miami finishes with as many wins as UF and FSU combined.
USC has a somewhat 'weak' schedule when compared to the top 5 – 10 teams. – That will allow for an over-rated ranking due to perceptions of the USC brand & the Riley 'hype'. – Grinch's D will be suspect as well. — A season for "getting their feet wet" – in my mind. Interesting at best.
Frost will be guaranteed fired in at least 2 years from now. Even if he does get to 6 wins that is the most pitiful thing in cfb that at a blue blood program that recruits better talent than their division every year where you can only make a bowl one time in 5 years substantiating he's a horrible coach. So the year after he'll do the same thing whether it's 6 wins again or less than 6 and gets fired officially. I can only see a frustrated, taking his hat off, rubbing his hands through his hair disappointed man every year in Frost now. I don't see a winner in him anymore.
I myself is betting a house that Frost finishes with less than 4 wins and gets fired. You mark my words.
Kansas might outperform Nebraska if you put Patrick Mahomes behind center and Devante Adams at WR. It’d be like putting a nuclear reactor in a Honda Civic but it’d get the job done
My Bold Perdition is that tosu beats two sec teams to win the natty.
