The reality is that Benzema and other Muslim players don't feel like belonging to the team. They took him away and he gladly removed himself from the team because he doesn't share the same value as other France's players. The context of France is very particular. So yeah; I wish Benzema fit in perfectly in that team but the reality is that Griezmann and Giroud don't like him and knowing the ex- captain and world champion Deschamps; he wants to keep team's morale high and knows that France can win without Benzema. It's sad to not play with the "best" player of the team and of the world but it's also questionable when the whole squad relies on one player( Neymar or Messi). Portugal's team chose something in between where the coach chose to keep Ronaldo but on the bench.

Come on Benzema! Make your entrance in the stage
France did not include Benzema in place in Giroud in the 2018 World Cup even though Giroud performed pathetically in that tournament. Now if Giroud is performing well, they are thinking of replacing him with Benzema? No. Benzema is far better than any of the french players but his inclusion suddenly in the Final is a huge risk to bear. However, he can play the second half but that's not possible because Deschamps (Racist) hates Benzema.
So Benzema will never win a World Cup – that’s depressing for him.
