Darko Milicic is better than LeBron James?
It is very difficult to predict how good NBA Draft prospects will become. But there have been a few times over the last couple decades where a draft take was so bad, it’s inexcusable.
In this video I will look back at 7 of the worst NBA Draft takes of all time. Some of these left me absolutely speechless.
Video Rating: / 5
By those comments made by that journalist that said Darko was better than Lebron, shows we needed Twitter back then 😂.
I mean some of Steph’s weakness definitely still apply today still not a true point and lateral quickness
Agree about mr Curry to a point he very limited can really only do one thing
Sam Presti DID NOT draft KD. KD played 1 year in Seattle and during that time SP was with the Spurs. You have terrible research.
The criticism on Steph is all true. He literally just shot the deep ball so good he changed the game and broke the system

To be fair, Gottlieb said during NBA workouts that James Harden was cooking everyone….
That Jordan pool take looking like it might be true. But tbh all you got to do is put baddies court side and he might perform lol
I don't know which is funnier, the fact that you concede that Michael Jordan is the GOAT by saying that LeBron James is a top 2 player all-time or the fact that you consider LeBron who isn't the best clutch shooter, doesn't elevate his teammates to greatness, and is highly debated as not even the greatest Small Forward by those in the know…LeBron is a top 10 greatest of all time player just ahead of Kobe. If you break down the statistics, take into consideration the competition during different eras and then look at the overall play it's hard for me to compare him with Jordan, Wilt, Magic, or Bird. It's also hard to put him over Oscar Robertson. There's an argument for Kareem, as well as Jerry West. I don't think Shaq or Charles are in that conversation but Kobe is up there as well as Steph Curry. When we close this chapter in NBA history, Youtubers will debate whether LeBron is here or there for some time to come but statistically speaking, his career broken down while his longevity is impressive, still puts him statistically speaking in the same conversation with Charles Barkley, not Jordan or Bird or Wilt or Bill Russell who I didn't mention. Bill was a defensive juggernaut who knew how to elevate his team and win titles. He wasn't the best shooter between Kareem, Wilt and himself. He wasn't more athletic than the other two though he held his own. In his 13 seasons though he won 11 titles and that's a record. Jordan retired 3 times by the time he called it quits for good and only had about 13 full seasons himself of which the last was him coming back older and out of playing shape at first to try to recapture and teach a team he had put his own money into. It was a tarnish on his legacy as he was a .500 percent shooter lifetime before that. Had the Bulls not decided to rebuild and kept going who knows how many titles that second run would have had. Had Jordan not retired to play baseball who knows if Houston would have ever won a title. I find it interesting that LeBron keeps being put on this pedestal by those who never watched Bird, Wilt, Magic, and Jordan. Maybe you watch LeBron's clutch flops and then tell me you'd rather have him than Bird.
I was at the Target Center watching the draft on the big screen when the wolves passed on Steph. pretty weird day. Got a text saying Michael Jackson had died
KG was not first.
Darryl Dawkins and Moses Malone went directly from high school to the NBA, unless my memory fails me.
Darko busted hard thanks to Larry Brown but it should say just how good a prospect he was that LeBron was genuinely about a 60/40 favourite to go #1 (prior to Cavs getting the pick where the hometown factor made it a 99% chance) and the case for Darko over LeBron was legitimately strong. Darko may genuinely be the 2nd best prospect in the last 20 years, he was that good a prospect, which just makes how badly he busted all the more crazy.
The only prospects I've seen in my time following that I'd genuinely put ahead of Darko were Duncan, Shaq, LeBron and Greg Oden . Wemby probably joins that list this year and Anthony Davis was close. LeBron was a genuine coinflip as well and for those scoffing at Oden, Durant more or less has become what was expected of him and Oden was a much more certain #1 over him than LeBron was over Darko (again prior to Cavs making it a certainty). To be fair, Wiggins coming out of HS also would have been right up there but definitely wasn't after his year in college.
Hi @NBA Experts, my name is Tracy Shipman your new opponent from Columbus GA and I think that the LA Lakers must trade Anthony Davis to either the (1) Detroit Pistons for the #1 Pick Victor Wenbayama, and #31Ryan Mutombo,( 2)76ers for Joel Embiid and James harden,(3)Suns for KD, CP3 Devin Booker and the Trade from Minnesota Timberwolves Karl Anthony-Towns DeAngelo Russell 's friends) and (4) Atlanta Hawks for (PG) Trae young,2.Dejounte Murray, 3 Bogdan Bogdanvince,4 John Collins, and 5 Clint Capella and bring them players to the LA Lakers (1) Carmelo Anthony,(2) DeMarcus Cousins Hassan Whiteside,3.and put retired NBA playerLaMarcus Aldridge on the team staff, and get (6) Giannis Antetokumpo and his brother Thansis Antetokumpo and (7) Draymond green and (8) other free agents players to the LA Lakers after LeBron James retired from the NBA with his Son's(Bronny James Jr 2024 NBA draft #19 pick (and Bryce James Jr in the 2025 or 2026 NBA draft?)
Moses Malone was the first to come straight out of high school to the nbA
The phrase “Biggest draft prospect ever” has been so overused.
Darko honestly was never given a chance. It’s a sad truth.
A person can guess when these guys are wrong, it happens when they talk 🎶🎶
mike dantoni is a clown… his opinion has proven meaningless, he hasnt been successful as a coach
I'm a Kings fan and i remember when Domantas Sabonis was drafted in 2016, the draft analysts had nothing good to say about him and claimed that he was only drafted because of his last name and his dad's reputation. I remember that draft take specifically because it was the most disrespectful draft pick analysis i've ever seen, and i paid close attention to his development since his OKC days and now he's on the Kings and i just can't say enough just how stupid those draft night analysts are.
