This giants offseason reminds me a lot of 2016 where they added just added a bunch of talent on talent.
The front 7 is essentially loaded with guys selected in top 3 rounds. Leonard Williams, Austin Johnson, Dexter Lawrence, Bj Hill, Danny Shelton, Elerson Smith, Ryan Anderson, Lorenzo Carter, Oshane Ximines, and now Azeez Ojulari.
Also 2 former nfc north guys that were at one time projected to be the next best thing in Blake Martinez and Ifeadi Odenigbo.
The secondary is also loaded with former top picks in Adoree Jackson, Logan Ryan, Jabrill Peppers, Xavier McKinney, Quincy Wilson, Sam Beal, Darnay Holmes, Julian Love, James Bradberry, Isaac Yiadom, and now Aaron Robinson.
Overall the defense may not be elite but itβs fasur gonna be dang good with all the former top talent.
The offense is a little more puzzling but Dave has done good job of just adding guys and saying just work it out from there. Donβt know if long term itβs good but rn itβs good enough to get you by.
With the endless amount of weapons in Kenny Galloday, Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard, John Ross, Dante Pettis, Evan Engram, Kyle Rudolph, Kaden Smith, Kelvin Benjamin, David Sills, Austin Mack, Saquon Barkley, Devontae Booker, Wayne Gallman, and now Kadarius Toney. I know that some of them wonβt make the final 53 but still. Like thatβs a lot of weapons and itβs good rn that itβs too much to handle. Danny should finally be decent enough.
The o line is frustrating because they were all good coming out but they just havenβt lived up to their potential yet. Andrew Thomas, Shane Lemeiux, Nick Gates, Will Hernadez, Zach Fulton, and Matt Peart. Personally not the biggest fan of Nick Gates but still you have the guys now itβs just putting them in place to succeed.
As far as the draft:
Toney honestly not the biggest fan of him as I liked Elijah Moore better and this feels a lot of like Eli apple. Where heβs really a 3 guy that you dream can be your 2 and has the potential to be 1 but at the end of the day heβs just a 3. So just donβt ask to much of him and heβll succeed. I do worry about that if Kenny, Sterling, Darius, and John Ross injury history show up. But I believe for the short term itβs a good pick.
Azeez is a great pick because itβs just another pass rusher to add to the arsenal. I know heβs raw but he should have not fallen that far. And just him and his Georgia buddy Lorenzo Carter can just have fun for days to begin.
Aaron is confusing but you have to just keep throwing darts at the dartboard in hopes of one them succeeding. This defense back room is extremely crowded just donβt have so many that you forget to give everyone a shot and you let the right guy walk away because he didnβt get a shot and land up on the right team to succeed. I personally think Aaron gonna be a ball hawking slot and can be interchangeable with peppers.
Elerson I donβt think will ever be special but another guy you can just throw in the rotation in hopes he does something. Heβs a high effort guy so heβll wear out the offense even more and itβs good to get him.
Last 2 picks in Gary and Rodarius are good picks. Especially Rodarius. I just donβt know how they see the field or make the roster. Even on special teams. Like this roster is just filled with talent you canβt just pluck anyone out. Wouldβve tried to trade up (just use these 2 picks no future picks) to get trey hill center out of Georgia personally.
Overall I really like the giants roster as they just have a lot of former top talent. And thatβs why I truly do think that they are gonna win the division. Daniel Jones is a huge question mark and I donβt think heβs going to ever be THE guy but heβs enough to get you through this year.
We should have gotten John Ross!!

They didn't just get azeez they traded with the fins from 42 to 50 and got a 3rd then took azeez… you also made an error elerson Smith is 6'6 and azeez is 6'2 but azeez has the longer arms at 34 and a half he might be shorter at 6'2 but he has more length than most pass rushers in this class including elerson it's deceptive.
Ahhhh…. here we go again…

I've got the G-men winning the division at ten and seven! All the teams in the division have flaws but I think New York has the best all around roster after this offseason and I think their coach is going to develop into one of the best in the league.
