This is the new 2020 Bentley Continental GT V8 and today it meets its elder, the 2007 Bentley Continental GT, which costs 49,995 CAD (37,950 USD), about 7 times less than the new one. Both are big luxury cars and they represent the peak of Bentley’s finest coupe offering. So considering there’s been 13 years of advancement since it hit the streets, can the old one stack up? Is the new one worth the massive premium? James and Thomas jump behind the wheel of both to experience them and discuss them inside and out. Watch and enjoy!

I'm a Gary.. but I'll forgive you both…I do really enjoy Bentley's 😂
If you're in the "I'm considering a Bentley" market, you're going brand-new. If you're in the "I'm looking for something fancy and sporty" market, the used one makes a ton of sense (relatively speaking, of course). Honestly, this is one situation where I have to say new is better, given the context. If you can't afford a new one, you probably really can't afford a slightly used one in the end. If you CAN afford the new one, you're not thinking about a used one.
I know this is an old video but back when the Conti first came out in the mid oughts they were around 120-130k, how the fuck are they pushing a V8 model for almost 300k now? I know it's been a minute and inflation is a bitch, but that seems like an absurd price bump. I love these cars, my dad had one when they were first coming out and I adored the thing, but this was originally sold as an "afordable" Bentley. Yes, it was never truly affordable, but it was way less expensive than anything else from Bentley or RR and I truly believe that was a big help in getting them sold, but at the price they're asking now? I just couldn't imagine buying the new model
A couple of yuppies in a class act!
Remember before the pandemic when you could pick one of these up for less than 20k?
….dentist. What's that?
Priceless.
Just got an 07 mulliner with 45k miles on it for £18k GBP. Everything works as new. Full Bentley service history. Feels like I cheated the system driving what was a £117k car with all the extras. £200k with inflation. And when I did the HPI check it shows the value has been increasing each year. So if I kept the miles down I could probably sell it for £25k in a few years.
If you can buy a Bentley GT speed then you probably have more exotic cars like a Porsche 911 Turbo GT and a RSQ 8 Audi
You have to get the Bentley GT speed with almost 660 house power that is perfection
Front bench seat, to get it on with one’s girlfriend. Who wants to be blocked and cancelled by a massive trans-mission tunnel?
None carbon ceramic brakes is unacceptable today at this level new.
Good to know there are no jerks.
No girls? 🫢
Both filler caps are NOT chrome…..they are polished ALLOY
Did anyone else notice that the climate control made a sad face " : ( " at 15:12?
It’s 2024 now and these cars are worth 40k

8:08 "it does every single thing i want it to do" can it drift?
A car that size, that price, should not have useless seats.
Britain has "borders"?
