The Bulls too would have drafted Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan if both were on the board at #3…don’t let Rod Thorn’s revisionist history fool you..he said at the time he was sorry that the Bulls weren’t able to draft one of the two centers picked ahead of Jordan

Best Basketball documentary I've ever seen. Houston was the best place for Akeem. Chicago was the best place for Michael. Even he needed a balanced team to win. Talent is only part of it. Here in Portland, we're used to ups and downs. But the Drexler teams did go to the Finals twice. Jordan had a slight edge talent and team wise. That's how good Drexler was. Same for Olajuwon. It was right that they got together to win a championship. Who's the GOAT? The two who had the talent to advance the game and have a complete team behind them would be Bill Russell (defence) and Jordan(offence). But there is also endurance over the years to consider. In this the edge goes to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Julius Erving, and LeBron James. (and Kobe). Any player who's got a big shoe contract can thank Dr.J. He opened the door to mass marketing. He also carried the entire ABA in the 70s.

What a shame it would have been if John Stockton had not made it to the NBA.
