Dominick Puni, a massive guard from Kansas, improved significantly in 2023. Transitioning from Central Missouri, he showed increased leverage and power, displacing defenders effectively. His 2023 PFF grade was 80.7, playing 745 snaps, including 401 in run-block and 341 in pass-block, with zero sacks allowed. His best fit is at guard, where his size and power can dominate despite needing improvement in posture and pad levelββ.

Puni will get himself in trouble bending at the waist or letting his pads rise, but he plays big, powerful and sends a harsh message with his hands while staying controlled through contact. He can play tackle… but projects best as an NFL starting guard or center.

Puni’s power best projects to guard. He displayed bad posture and poor pad level in his first season with the Jayhawks, making him susceptible to rushers and not allowing him to maintain blocks.

Grade the San Francisco 49ers Draft picks so far!
I like the Ricky he fits in right with our hybrid mentality. If you look at George Kittle, he is like a wide receiver/tight end. McCaffrey is a running back that can Kitch Deebo is a receiver that can run the ball BA is probably the best blocking wide receiver in the league. Juice is a fullback that can catch black and run. The ball ricky fits right in with our system. He will do great on and around place screen place an RPO please he is just like Debo with a little more speed, but a little less trucking
It's obvious that the 49ers are not prioritizing improving the offensive line NOW. It's unfortunate

Chase-Are you aware that Pearsall was drafted specifically to address a weakness in the 49ers WR corp? KC used man coverage, but Deebo and Aiyuk perform best in zone coverage. Pearsall was picked to address this issue. Lynch and Shanahan have been planning this since February.
Ugh so tired of hearing a team reached, because their draft spot doesn't match your ranking. I'd rather have a team draft a player early then hope they can trade down and assume a player might still be available.
Green is the best pick so far

Yes this is much more basic and emotional than what NFL and their media teams cover which is a waste of time.
